While this series covered most of the original manga, it was later discontinued to help the manga move forward. It was later superseded by Inuyasha The Final Act upon completion of the manga to accommodate the rest of the storyline.
The Fall 2020 anime season is heating up, with news that Yashahime: Princess Half Demon will bring fans back to the world of Inuyasha. Years after the end of the popular Inuyasha series, Yashahime will introduce fans to Inuyasha’s children, Kagome and Sesshomaru.
The manga was adapted into two anime television series by Sunrise. The first series ran on Yomiuri TV from October 2000 to September 2004 with 167 episodes. The second series, Inuyasha: The Final Act, ran from October 2009 to March 2010 with 26 episodes.
After Naraku’s body was destroyed forever by Inuyasha’s Meido Zangetsuha and Sesshomaru’s Bakusaiga, Kagome pierces the Shikon Jewel with an unusually powerful sacred arrow, dealing a fatal blow to its soul. It is learned that Naraku’s true wish was Kikyo’s heart, a wish that the Shikon Jewel never fulfilled.
With the power of this bead, Sesshomaru actually seals both Inuyasha and Kagome within it. So he saves her from death, but also removes her completely from the picture.
After 14 years, Inuyasha and Kagome finally came out of the Black Pearl in episode 40 of Yashahime.
A new sequel to Inuyasha called Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon (Hanyo no Yashahime) has been announced and the Yashahime release date is scheduled for October 2020, the fall 2020 anime season. New episodes air Saturdays at 5:30pm Japan time.
Kagome was born in 1982. In the original series, she is 14-15, meaning that the modern era takes place around 1996-1997 (the year the Inuyasha manga was released), she would be 18 in the three year old time skip, which would be around 2000.
When Kagome and Inuyasha conceived Moroha, she was sent away as a baby to protect her from Kirinmaru trying to destroy half-demons. Her parents were then imprisoned in the Black Rainbow Pearl, leaving Moroha to grow up without them.
1. Who is Sesshomaru’s wife? Rin married Sesshomaru and became his wife sometime before the events in Yashahime. She then gave birth to her twin daughters, Towa and Setsuna, who were soon left in the forest.
No, there is no end and there never will be. The makers of the anime took it way too long as they only planned one season but the series was losing popularity so they stopped making episodes in the middle and continued in the manga.

Moroha does not remember her parents because the original cast members (Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Shippō, along with Sesshōmaru and Rin) were frozen in time.
Tragically, Moroha knows very little about her parents, having lived alone for most of her life. She was raised by Kōga and Ayame until she was 8 years old, then became Yawaragi’s student until she was 11.
Now that Rin is awake and the Silverscale Curse progresses, the half-demon princesses are running out of time to save their mother. While it’s up to Setsuna to successfully sever the bond between Zero and Rin, many Yashahime fans expect Sesshōmaru to join forces with his daughters to protect them.
In her heart, she tells her late master not to worry about her as she has Setsuna by her side, showing that Moroha has come to love her cousin.
