If you see the “HUNT” error, it’s due to a low cable signal. To resolve this issue, please check and secure your cable connections from your TV box to the outlet.
Make sure your cables are securely fastened. Press and hold the power button on the front of the TV box for 10 seconds. The TV box should restart automatically.
Make sure all power cords are plugged into working outlets for the TV and for your X1 TV Box. Hand tighten all cable connections to ensure they are not loose. If you’re using an HDMI cable to connect the X1 TV Box to the TV, make sure it’s plugged into the right places.
Next steps. If you get the S0A00 error message, it means that your TV box hasn’t been activated yet or has somehow lost its activation. If the error doesn’t go away in about an hour, determine if the error message is showing on all your TVs or just one, and then contact us so a representative can help you.
In most cases, your TV box should reset in 15 minutes. In some cases it may take up to 45 minutes for the program guide or other services to become available.
Restarts often solve problems by resetting the box and its cable connection. To restart, unplug the cable box from power, either from the back of the box or from the outlet on your wall or power strip, for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. This will start the boot process.
Unplug your device, wait a minute, and then plug it back in. Known as power cycling or rebooting, this method can fix many connectivity issues. Make sure your account is up to date regarding payments by going to the Billing tab in My Account (you may be prompted to sign in with your Xfinity ID and password first).
Check the cable connections between the TV and your video device or receiver. Change the channel or try a different input device or movie. The received signal may be weak. If your TV uses a cable or satellite box, you may need to contact your service provider for further assistance in improving the signal strength.
If you recently moved your set-top box to a new room or outlet and you see this message, the outlet may not be active. Your BendBroadband set-top box will display the message “Hold on a minute, this channel should be available shortly” when the outlet is idle.

Try plugging the TV box into a different outlet. Locate your home fuse box and see if the wall outlet breaker has tripped. If this is the case, turn the circuit breaker “on” to restore power to that outlet, then try turning on your TV box.
Sometimes the box may hang during the boot process. It’s a good idea to restart the process one more time to see if things are back on track. Simply unplug the power cord from the box and plug it back into the outlet. Now make sure the cables are rerouted and properly secured before restarting.
