In 2008, there was media speculation about Dourdan’s CSI contract negotiations with CBS. The parties could not reach an agreement, which is why his contract was not renewed. On April 14, 2008, it was reported that Dourdan was leaving the show.
Before the character’s death, it had been announced that Gary Dourdan would be leaving the series as his contract was ending and the terms of a new deal could not be met.

In the season 9 premiere, “For Warrick”, Grissom found Warrick bleeding to death in his car; Warrick tried to tell Grissom that McKeen had shot him, but was deterred by McKeen’s swing of his gun and died in Grissom’s arms.

When CSI: Cyber returns for a second season next fall with Ted Danson as a new regular alongside Patricia Arquette, it will be without one of the series’ original regulars, Peter MacNicol . I heard he won’t be coming back as part of the tweaks the spinoff is going through in Season 2.
Eads was involuntarily “on leave” from CSI again in 2013, according to The Hollywood Reporter, after starting a fight with a pregnant staff writer and expressing frustrations about the direction of his role. He also left the series again shortly before the show’s finale two years later.

Paul Guilfoyle, who played Captain Jim Brass, left Procedural last year after 14 seasons. Eads was the last of the actors to be a regular on CSI from the start; Guilfoyle was the second longest serving member.
She can’t stand staying in a relationship with Grissom if she thinks for just a moment that he doesn’t want to be in the relationship as much as she is. so she agrees to the divorce, even though it breaks her heart.
In the season 10 premiere, it is revealed that she is married to Grissom. In Season 13, Episode 15, she reveals that Grissom broke up with her. However, she and Grissom are reunited in the series finale “Immortality”.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the producers decided to write the character off after deciding that his story was practically over.
In season seven, Grissom took a four-week sabbatical to teach a class at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Prior to his sabbatical, Grissom had shown signs of “burnout.” Upon his return, however, he looked fresh and told Warrick Brown that he “missed” Las Vegas.
Riley Adams is Warrick Brown’s replacement in the Las Vegas crime lab. She first appears in the season 9 episode Art Imitates Life. Her last appearance was in the season 9 finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
In the season 8 finale, after being framed for the murder of crime boss Lou Gedda, Warrick was approached by Deputy Sheriff McKeen, who framed him for Gedda’s murder. McKeen said, “You never give up, that makes you a great CSI.” As Warrick was about to drive away, McKeen shoots Warrick in the neck and chest.
Ellie was behind the murders in “Skin in the Game” at all times and was held in custody. In the season finale, she attempts to commit suicide and later reconciles with her stepfather, telling him that it wasn’t his fault but that something was wrong with her.
Ann Morgan Guilbert was afraid she would be fired for telling the director she was pregnant, but luckily for her (and her fans) that didn’t happen. Instead, they dressed her in loose-fitting blouses until she went on maternity leave halfway through the first season.
Season 12. In Season 12, Ray left the lab after being fired from Internal Affairs and moved back to Baltimore to be with Gloria. He was then replaced by Morgan Brody, whom he met while investigating the death of his ex-wife’s husband.
He was framed for something that led to the entire Vegas lab being investigated. If Hodges was found guilty, it could have meant hundreds of criminals could be free. There was a bigger problem in the final. Hodges escaped prison while awaiting trial.
