The only ones worth acquiring are Alchemy and Herbalism. Most of my gold is made with Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Disenchanting, and Inscription. Anyone who says alchemy can’t play on high/full pops, where every craft is a significant loss and you’re better off selling mats without insanely lucky procs.
Mining and Herbalism are two of the most valuable professions in WoW and provide important resources. Ore and herbs can be sold in bulk on the auction house for a pretty penny depending on the realm and market conditions, but they can also be combined with other professions to make stacks of gold.
Herbalism and Alchemy are quite useful for the mage. Herbalism allows you to collect different herbs and the profession of Alchemy allows you to create different potions.
As a shaman who has been running Inscription and Alchemy since 3.0, I can say that Alchemy is definitely more versatile and has a better entry-level use than Inscription. Both give equivalent buffs over the long term, and both are extremely effective moneymakers if you decide to use them properly.
Legendaries. Crafting Legendaries is one of the main perks of being a jewelcrafter in Shadowlands. It also helps that the materials to craft these are usually a lot cheaper than those required for the other legendary gear, making these attractive slots for cost-conscious players.
Professions are a time waster. The only exceptions are consumables for looters (herbs, mining, alchemy, and enchanting). They were never really relevant during the leveling process.

Tailoring allows players to cut and weave various pieces of cloth into armor, bags, shirts, and other clothing items. Tailors play a particularly important role in guilds because they can create bags for the entire guild, provided the guild members gather the right ingredients.
< li>Integrated Circuit Designer Engineer.
Professions are used to create the base parts for legendary items, as well as scribes to manipulate legendary item stats to perfection. For more information on Legendary crafting, check out our Legendary Armor guide!
Leatherworking and Skinning is best for hunters. They hunt for monsters that they can kill. I would take skinning/mining and try to make some gold first, but that’s just me.
This profession has unique benefits for all types of players out there, and mages are no exception. Excellent for leveling and full of wins at the end of the game, you really can’t go wrong with jewelcrafting. It’s hard to overstate the value of being able to make your own potions.
By tinkering incessantly and tolerating malfunctions and misfires, an engineer can craft absolutely unique items: vision-enhancing goggles, powerful weapons, robotic pets, mechanical mounts, and even more unusual trinkets.. b>p>
Inscription is best paired with Herbalism because you can save a lot of gold by growing the herbs you need, so check out my BfA Herbalism leveling guide if you’re into Herbalism want to level.
Inscription is one of the best gold-making professions in the game. You can create glyphs, Darkmoon maps, and all sorts of other junk. Each of these markets has distinctive time investment needs and potential profits.
Jewelcrafting: The best companion skill for this profession is Mining. Ore is usually in high demand and therefore expensive to buy on the auction house. Like Blacksmithing and Engineering, jewelcrafting is ore and stone intensive.
