BRAND NAME(S): Riopan. USES: Magaldrate is an antacid. It neutralizes and reduces stomach acid and relieves heartburn and indigestion. It is used to treat upset stomach, ulcers, hiatal hernia and other digestive disorders.
You should not take more than 4 sachets daily (equivalent to 6400 mg magaldrate). In some cases, taking one dose can bring relief. Stop taking the sachet when you are free of symptoms.
Magaldrat will be discontinued. Magaldrate is available under the following different brand names: Riopan.
