Roman nougat is an extremely distant cousin (perhaps illegitimate cousin) of Italian torrone or nougat, made with honey and almonds, traditionally from Italy and France.
Although Russell Stover was acquired by the Swiss company Lindt and Sprüngli, its headquarters are still in the United States, more specifically in Kansas City, Missouri, where the company moved its permanent home in 1928.< /p>p>

Sugar-free sweets containing maltitol, xylitol, or sorbitol will most likely throw you out of ketosis and should therefore be avoided.
One of the biggest culprits is the sugar alcohol known as maltitol (and maltitol syrup). This is the main sweetener used in Russell Stover Sugar Free Chocolate.
There is also gas and bloating to the point that I couldn’t sleep. I really cannot recommend this product. There should be a warning on the packaging.
