Barbara Jean has lost a lot of weight, but Brock suspects she’s cheating on him with her fitness trainer and convinces Reba to spy on her. In another story, Kyra is back.
Those who have seen Reba may have noticed that Pomers was absent for most of Season 5. According to Fame10, the reason for her absence is she was battling anorexia. Her co-stars were concerned when the actress showed up to film.
It wasn’t until Season 6 that Kyra decided to move back in with Reba. This is the first episode of the series to feature a “Before on Reba”. On the original air date, this episode aired as a one-hour episode.
She replied: “I’ve been singing since I was about six and I was supposed to be finishing an album last year when I was on hiatus from Reba, but I dislocated my kneecap to third time and had to have an operation to prevent it from happening again.

When Barbra Jean (who her cast member Melissa Peterman was pregnant in real life at the time this episode was taped) realized this, she took up food as a hobby and gained quite a bit of weight. As a result, Brock consulted Reba, how best to deal with the delicate situation.
After successfully completing her treatment, she returned for Season 6 and the show writers handled her exit from the previous season adeptly. When Kyra enters the door of Reba’s house, the series’ title character asks her where she’s been, to which Kyra replies, “I went to get some food.”
In the first season, she struggles to save her twenty-year marriage to Brock before learning in a therapy session that he is divorcing her to marry his pregnant girlfriend, Barbra Jean. In the same session, she also learns that her eldest child, 17-year-old Cheyenne, is also pregnant by her boyfriend Van.
The whole family has to deal with Kyra leaving home to live with Brock and Barbara Jean.
