What is the ICA registry for dogs? The International Canine Association (ICA) allows registration of dogs with no documented pedigree. Originally, ICA was a canine registry targeting terrier and working dog breeds not previously recognized by the AKC.
ACA, then its counterpart, ICA, was designed as a registry for many terrier breeds and working breeds not previously recognized by the AKC. For example, Jack Russell Terriers were not recognized by the AKC until recently, and American Bulldogs are still not recognized by the AKC (at this time).
