The Dark Totem is used to access the lower level of the Kourend Catacombs to fight Skotizo. Each totem grants a one-time entry to face it. A player uses the dark totem on the dark altar in the middle of the catacombs.
Assembling the dark totem will result in a chat box message stating that you can assemble the totem pieces with one click. It looks like an arcane key and pulses with dark power in your hand. A player uses the dark totem on the altar in the middle of the catacombs.

If the player can afford one, a Twisted Bow is Skotizo’s most effective weapon, and can be used at range while praying that it protects from magic to keep him from taking damage.
Charges are added by using 3 Ancient Shards on Arclight. With the exception of special attacks, using Arclight consumes a charge for each successful attack. When all charges are depleted, it returns to Darklight.
Spawns once every 12 hours, so already twice a day, there was a recent suggestion to make the Dark Totems more useful as well.
The general strategy with Skotizo is to aim for max DPS while still finding a good balance between melee and magic defense. Skotizo will mostly use melee attacks when you’re within melee range, but sometimes use magic attacks as well. For this reason you should pray in melee when you are in melee range.
Skotizo is a demi-boss that can be found in a cave deep beneath the Kourend Catacombs, accessed via a dark totem on the altar in the center of the catacombs. Warning: Skotizo’s Lair is an instanced area. If you die, you lose all your items. Any items left on the ground when exiting the instance will also be lost.
A Dragon Warhammer is also useful in combat for its special effect, but players without one can use their Arclight special attack for similar results. At any point during the fight, Skotizo will randomly activate the Awakened Altars located in the north, south, east, and west central areas of the room.
Acquisition. Arclight can be crafted by using Darklight on the altar in the center of the Zeah Catacombs with 3 Ancient Shards in the player’s inventory. It starts with 1000 charges and gains an additional 1000 charges for every 3 shards added and can hold a maximum of 10,000 charges.
Although classified as demonic, Arclight does not work against them. When a Slayer Master checks your combat level, you must be at least level 75.
