Cons of Matrix SoColor Conditioning Permanent Hair Color:
Causes slight hair loss. Developer tubes must be purchased separately.
Try an opaque, full-bodied formula like Matrix SoColor Extra Coverage. This hair color offers uniform, even coverage and gives the hair a natural look and is designed for 100% gray coverage. It also contains ceramides, jojoba oil and soybeans to condition and smooth unruly gray hair.
The bottom line. You can dye your hair wet, but the color may be less vibrant, may not last as long and may be slightly more uneven than if you dyed it wet.
Mix color and developer in a ratio of 1:1. Apply to dry or towel dried hair with virgin, retouched or creative placement. Process 10-20 minutes. 10 minutes for the purest result, 20 minutes for maximum neutralization (level 8).

What happens if I put too much developer in the paint? Your mix will be wetter & more liquid. If it’s way too runny, you may end up lightening the hair but not applying enough color. It becomes thinner, flatter and doesn’t last as long.
The hair color and developer are mixed in a specific ratio to form a toning mixture, which is then applied to the hair. The mixing ratio is usually 1:1, 1:1.5 or 1:2 (for an extra strong lightening effect).
With so many disadvantages and shortcomings I would never choose this Matrix product again. The harmful chemicals and ammonia in this product have weakened the ends of my hair. I would not recommend anyone to use the Matrix so Color Permanent Hair Color Crème. Instead, I would prefer organic colors that contain natural products.
How long does it last: Depending on the health and porosity of the hair, a semi-permanent color can last between four and 12 washes before gradually fading.
Use 10 vol developer for gradual coloring, to tone blonde highlights without lifting and to tone down. Use 20 vol developer for 1-2 levels of lift. Use 30 vol developer for 2-3 levels of lift. For lifts over 3 levels, it is better to use bleach first, then color.
You should not leave 20 volume developer bleach in your hair for more than 30 minutes. However, 30 minutes is a long time. Ideally, you can remove the bleach before you have reached the 30 minute maximum, but the actual time frame will depend on your natural hair color, preferred shade and hair type.
