Through its gift card program, the Online Food Closet aims to provide free groceries to UCLA students who are suffering from hunger and/or are struggling to obtain groceries due to financial difficulties.< /p>
UCLA Dining offers a variety of dining options for students, faculty, staff and guests. Currently, due to labor shortages and to ensure the most enjoyable dining experience possible, we have limited facilities available and are only providing meal plans to our shared apartment.
Residential and Quick Service Restaurants: There are four full-service locations with multiple entry options: Bruin Plate on Sproul Plaza, Covel Commons, Hedrick and FEAST at Rieber< /b >. Four smaller venues offer casual options: Bruin Café, Café 1919, De Neve Late Night and Rendezvous.
The UCLA Community Programs Office (CPO) Food Closet, the anonymous campus pantry, provides students with groceries and other basic needs.
During the 10th week of each quarter, members of the Swipe Out Hunger team go to various UCLA restaurants and encourage students with additional food swipes to donate. Students can check their meal plan balances in the UCLA Housing app and donate any swipes left over after their final exams via a Google form.
Cost for Room and Board at UCLA UCLA charges students a package for shared room and board. The on-campus cost for a typical student in 2020 was approximately $16,625.
Due to staffing constraints, we will not be offering the Bruin Meal for the Spring Quarter of 2022. Additionally, all premium meal plan holders on campus may not invite guests to the All you care to eat residential restaurants. Students can swipe more than once in to-go restaurants.

This is our most flexible meal plan. It offers a preset number of meals at the beginning of each academic quarter. Unused meals carry over from week to week and can be used at any time during the quarter for extra meals and snacks for you, your friends or family. All meals must be consumed by the end of the quarter.
For clarification (and it will blow your mind): UCLA does have a Starbucks on campus, just not under ASUCLA. All your frappuccino and flat white needs can be met at Cafe Med at the UCLA Center for Health Services and Society.

UCLA awards up to 100 Regents Scholarships to incoming and transferring students each year and currently has a total of approximately 500 Regents Scholars enrolled at UCLA.
