Starbucks has also built a premium brand, has stores that look more like a cozy coffee house, has a more extensive menu and greater product customization. Dunkin’ places resemble more traditional fast food restaurants and offer more competitive prices compared to Starbucks.
In the fall of 2018, local labor inspectors released reports linking Starbucks to a plantation where workers were being forced to work live and in dirty conditions. Workers reported dead bats and mice in their food, a lack of sanitation, and work days that stretched from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
