Pistol grip buttstocks are legal in California for semi-automatic (e.g. Remington VersaMax Tactical, Mossberg 930, Benelli M1, M2 and M4, etc.), combination semi-automatic/pump shotguns (e.g. Benelli M3 ) and pump shotguns (e.g. Mossberg 5## series, Remington 870, etc.).
