Why did you make the can smaller? My hand doesn’t fit in the can anymore, so I can’t get the chips out! The equipment we use at our new home in Malaysia is a little different than our sister factory in the US – this means that the way we make Pringles and the size of the have changed their packaging.
Conservatively speaking, an average can of Pringles actually contains about 80 Pringles, just like the nutritional information says.
Harry: Well, it looks like a standard tube in the UK contains about 92 Pringles.
So P&G got to work on a new recipe that included a paste made from dehydrated potatoes, rice, corn and wheat. Perfectly shaped chips were punched out with a cookie cutter and shaped with Baur’s saddle tool… and the rest is history. P&G called the creation Pringles Newfangled Potato Chips.
