The most suitable paper for the experiment is a paper with a substance of about 200 g/m2.

Typical office paper is 80 g/m2 (0.26 oz/sq ft), so a typical A4 sheet (1⁄16 square meter) weighs 5 g (0.18oz).

The solution to the problem is simply to create a group of columns and place them under a piece of paper. The pillars hold the weight when strategically placed under the paper platform. Set aside a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. Make columns out of the remaining 16 sheets.

Paper weight and consumption
The weight is also easy to calculate: a standard A4 sheet of 80 g/m² paper weighs 5 g (since it is 1⁄16 of a A0 page, with a size of 1m²) so you can easily calculate the weight – and the associated postage costs – by counting the number of sheets used.
Lower numbers, including 20 pounds and 24 pounds, are the most common weights for standard copier and multipurpose paper, while higher numbers indicate a heavier, thicker sheet. In most cases, the thicker the sheet, the heavier the sheet, although there are cases where a dense paper can be heavy without being thick.
24 lb bond paper is slightly thicker than 20 lb bond paper and fits a standard printing press. 24 lb bond paper can be used to create letters, stationery, and other printed matter for your business. Certain printed matter such as leaflets and brochures must be printed on heavier weight paper.
In general, you can mail 4-5 pages of plain paper plus an envelope at the regular first class rate (“a postage stamp“).
A typical envelope weighs 6.75 grams. Since a sheet of paper weighs 4.5 grams, a typical letter weighs at least 11.25 grams.
