The User Interface (UI) is the part of the game mechanics that the player uses to interact with the game. The term generally refers specifically to the buttons, windows, and other controls that the player sees when playing the game.

The “WTF” folder contains ALL configuration files for this installation of World of Warcraft, including all addon configuration files for all characters played on this installation of World of Warcraft.
Your World of Warcraft installation is in the same directory as your WoW addons folder. In Windows 10 it is specified as C:/World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns based on the default path. You can expect to find this folder under ->classic, except that “_retail_” is moved to “_classic_”.

Browse to the /Users/Shared/Blizzard directory. Right-click the Battle.net folder and select Move to Trash. Restart the Battle.net desktop app and launch the game again.
Open the addons directory (AddOns/Lorti UI), open the file named config. Lua with notepad. To turn macro names on/off, you need to use the cfg. macroname’ and change the ‘show’ line to true/false.
ElvUI is popular because you can move everything to where it works best for you. It’s also popular for its visual mods that give the UI a cohesive, more modern look, but of course that’s just a preference.
ElvUI offers more complex customization options than TukUI, with an /ec configuration menu that is out of the box much more verbose than TukUI’s. ElvUI is also available on tukui.org. You can change much more of the basic look and function of ElvUI than TukUI without needing to. lua coding skills.
Deleting the WTF will remove information associated with characters, whether it’s macro data, extra information, or something else. Pretty much everything but the addon info (saved variables, etc.) is stored server-side and retrieved automatically every time you log in.
Just right click on the “World of Warcraft Launcher” and “Run as Administrator” when you’re done reinstalling. Battle.net will then reinstall itself. I’ve done this successfully several times over the past 2-3 months with no issues. All your addons are in your “Interface” folder, which is inside your wow folder.
The best way I’ve found to find the folder is to go into the Battle.net app & next to PLAY is a gear. Select it, then View in Explorer, then go to the version of the game you want. (ie: retail or classic.)
Fill out the Notepad file as required, then click File->Save As. Under the file name there is an option “Save as type:”. Choose All File Types and name your file realmlist. wtf”.
In your World of Warcraft folder (then Retail or Classic (I think)) you should see an Interfaces folder. These are all your addons. Settings are saved in the WTF folder, by account, server and character.
