Press the PROGRAM button on the garage door motor head unit once. The PROGRAM STATUS light on the engine head unit will turn on and remain illuminated for one minute to indicate that it is ready to learn the transmitter code. Press the button on the transmitter.
The “learn” button on your garage door opener is located above the Boundary Wire hanging from the motor head, it may also be located under a light cover. The Learn button is either green, red/orange, purple, or yellow.
NOTE: If you accidentally enter an incorrect code, the door will not move. To reset simultaneously press the 7/8 and 9/0 keys and re-enter your PIN.

You can program universal garage door openers to open one or two garage doors. With the additional light control switch, a universal remote control also switches on the garage light or the lighting in your house. If you have a newer garage door opener but are unsure of the exact model, a universal remote will likely suffice.
Pull off the opener and disconnect the two cables from the motor. Reconnect your device to power, then clear memory and reprogram all remotes. Disconnect the unit from the mains a second time and reconnect the control cables to the motor. Locate the wall mounted controls and disconnect the wiring.
