The Gem Bag is an item available in Prospector Percy’s Nugget Shop for 100 gold nuggets and can contain 60 each (300 total) uncut gems of the following types: Uncut Sapphire. Rough Emerald. Rough ruby.
The normal Gem Bag can contain a total of 100 Gems. The upgraded gem pouch can hold 60 of each gem, for a total of 300. For anyone spending half an hour killing Abby demons, that means you’ll be filling up the ruby fields much faster than the others.
Contains gems – but which ones? A Bag of Gems is available for 40 gold nuggets in Prospector Percy’s Nugget Shop. Each bag contains a selection of 40 listed rough gems.
Gems are obtained through mining, trading with other players, and as occasional loot from monsters. Using the Craft skill, uncut gems can be cut, combined with precious metals to create jewelry, and then enchanted with the Magic skill. Gems can also be cut in Gem Bolt Points.
It can be purchased from the TzHaar-Hur-Lek Ore and Gem Store for 300,000 Tokkul (or 260,000 with the Karamja Gloves 1 or better) or obtained as a rare drop from Zulrah, Skotizo, or Tekton become .
Gems can be mined through the mining skill in Shilo Village after a player completes the Shilo Village quest, or in the Lunar Isle mine after Lunar Diplomacy. A mining level of 40 is required to mine gems.
Uncut Dragonstones are a type of gem that requires 55 Crafting to cut. They can be obtained from the Crystal Chest in Taverley, which is opened with a Crystal Key, along with other miscellaneous items. Using a chisel to cut the dragon stone grants 137.5 crafting experience and results in a sliced dragon stone.
