Your Yahoo account is suspended
To protect your account, your account may be temporarily suspended after too many unsuccessful login attempts. You can always access it again immediately using the sign-in helper.
To check your inbox on your computer or phone browser, visit mail.yahoo.com. Alternatively, select the envelope icon on the desktop versions of the Yahoo home page and Yahoo search page to go to the email sign-up page. Enter your Yahoo username, phone number, or email address associated with your account.
In Gmail, select the gear icon > Show all settings. Go to Accounts and Import, select Check email from other accounts > Add email account. Enter your Yahoo email address, select Next, select Link accounts to Gmailify, and select Next. Follow the instructions and select Agree > Close.
“Starting August 26, 2021, Yahoo India will stop posting content. Your Yahoo account, email, and search will not be affected in any way and will work as usual. We thank you for your support and readership,” said the web service provider on its India homepage.
On the Yahoo homepage, select Sign in. Enter your Yahoo email address, and then select Next. If your account is recoverable, you’ll see Choose an option. Choose your recovery method (SMS or email).
If you don’t like the new Yahoo Mail that looks like Gmail, you can switch to the old one as Yahoo has the option for that too. All you have to do is hover over the gear icon, select Settings>View Emails> Select Basic below for the mail version and click the Save button.
Sign out of the app and back in
Sometimes the connection between the app and your account gets lost. Sign in again to reconnect. Sign out of the Yahoo Mail app for iOS and then sign back in. Sign out of the Yahoo Mail app for Android and then sign back in.
The Yahoo Mail app is almost identical to the Gmail app, with folders appearing when you swipe right. While almost every aspect of the user experience is identical to the Gmail app (barring the intrusive ads), Yahoo Mail gives you more options to customize your background theme.
Gmail forwarding gives users the ability to move email messages from Gmail inbox to external accounts. A box appears under each message prompting the user to reply or forward. The Forward tab sends the message to another email address, which can be your Yahoo account or a colleague’s.
Starting January 15, 2021, automatically forwarding emails from your Yahoo inbox to another email account will no longer be a feature of free Yahoo Mail accounts. Upgrade to Yahoo Mail Pro or, for US-only accounts, subscribe to Access + Forwarding to use the auto-forwarding feature at this time.
Google, Microsoft and Yahoo are clearly not the most secure email providers. None of them encrypt your messages end-to-end and none take your privacy very seriously.
If you don’t create a plan for your Yahoo account (and nobody hacks in), your account will be deleted after 12 months of inactivity.
