Check the back of your Apex TV and look for the video inputs. If video cables are connected, make sure they are fully inserted. If your cables look worn or damaged, replace them with thicker, high-quality cables. If you see image pixelation or frames dropping, you may have a weak cable signal.
Check the HDMI input number
Apex TVs are equipped with multiple HDMI inputs. Make sure your HDMI cable is plugged into the correct input on your Apex TV. Go to the “Input” button on the side of your TV and select the appropriate input.
LCD TVs are equipped with a reset function that resets the TV to its original settings. After your LCD TV has been reset, test the TV by accessing the various functions using the TV remote control or the front panel buttons.
Unplug the TV’s power cord from the wall outlet. Simultaneously press and hold the power and volume down (-) buttons on the TV (not the remote control) and plug the power cord in while holding the buttons.
Reconnect loose connections between the component device and your TV to determine if a loose cable is causing the signal loss. The easiest way is to locate the video input connectors on the back or side of the TV and trace the cables to the component device.

Replace the HDMI cable as it may have a short or other defect that is causing the black screen issue. Unplug the TV for 5 minutes to attempt a reset. Disconnecting the TV will reset the TV and fix any transient issues. Factory reset the TV to fix the problem.
Try unplugging the TV. Press and hold the power button on the TV for about 30 seconds while it is unplugged. Once this time has elapsed, release the button and reconnect to the power supply. Turn the device back on and see if you can see images.
To change the HDMI signal format setting, press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Television] — [External inputs] — [HDMI signal format] . Standard HDMI Format*1 for normal use. High quality HDMI format*1*2. Specify only when using suitable devices.
It is more difficult to change settings without the remote control. There are several ways to accomplish this task, but this seems to be the easiest: Turn the TV off and then back on. Once the TV logo appears, press Channel and Menu buttons simultaneously.
