Ensure all USB cables from the Promethean board and ActiView are firmly plugged into the computer. To troubleshoot, unplug the USB cables from the computer to the board, wait 30 seconds, and then plug them back in. If there is no power to the board, check the power cables.
With both the ActivBoard and the computer on, lightly hold the ActivPen on the ActivBoard without pushing the ActivPen tip in. The cursor on the ActivBoard should line up with the tip of the ActivPen. If not, you need to calibrate the ActivBoard.

If you can use touch on your device but multi-touch gestures don’t work, you need to open the Windows Control Panel and open the Pen and Touch option. Switch Go to the Touch tab and make sure Enable multi-touch gestures and inking is checked.
If you are using an ActivBoard 100 or 300, you should also disconnect the USB cable from your computer. Wait a few seconds for the ActivBoard to go out and close it then back to the power adapter and USB cable. The ActivBoard may emit a few short beeps and the flame will go through a start up sequence.
