Avast Virus Chest is located in the Avast Antivirus application menu. To access Virus Chest, start the application and go to the menu. From there, select Virus Chest.
To restore a quarantined file: Check the box next to the relevant quarantined file(s). Click … More options (three dots), then select Restore or Restore as.
Find the locked file path
On Windows, you can right-click a program’s icon to get that file path from the dialog box that appears. Copy the line of text into the Destination field to add the path to your clipboard. On a Mac, use the Finder app to locate the program.

The antivirus program and its quarantined files will be deleted and removed from the system if you tried to uninstall it. You can restore these quarantined files only if you have the same AV program installed in the system.
To open the Virus Container, right-click the small orange Avast icon in the system tray at the bottom right of your computer. Select Virus Container from the menu< /b> .
< li>Click “View Details”.
To unblock the program, open Avast and click Settings. Paste the file path into the File path field. Click Add for the antivirus program to exclude the program from the shields. Turn on Avast Shields after adding file exclusion.
Create a folder called Suspect on the C:\ drive. Now exclude this folder in Filesystem Shield, Expert Settings, Exclusions, Add, type (or copy and paste) C:\Suspect\* This will prevent Filesystem Shield from scanning any files you put in this Drop folder.
