Merlin soon realizes he has two choices – Morgause could undo the spell or Morgana must die if Camelot is to be saved. This leads to the ultimate betrayal, in which Merlin takes advantage of Morgana’s disheveled mind to pour poison into her water.
Proof Morgana Loved Merlin, part 1 of the entire series.
Morgana only finds out about Merlin as a magician in the 3rd to last episode (Season 5, Episode 11, The Drawing of the Dark). Mordred tells her who Emrys is (aka Merlin) at the end of this episode.
First and foremost, Arthur had killed many of their kind as well. She didn’t feel like she could trust him. Also, Uther favored him (and illegitimacy aside, Morgana was actually next in line to the throne, being born before Arthur), so it was natural for her to be jealous of him.
Unfortunately, Uther’s grief leads to his confessing to Gaius that Morgana is his daughter, which she remembers after Merlin heals her.
Merlin has a one-sided crush on Meliodas. Merlin met Meliodas when she was a child and he saved her from the sorcerers who were chasing her. From that moment on, she developed romantic feelings for him because Meliodas showed her a concern that no one had ever shown her.
Though it was a long time coming, Gwen finally discovered that Merlin possessed magic in The Diamond of the Day: Part 2. This happened after the Battle of Camlann when Gwen questioned Gaius the identity of the wizard who helped them defeat the Saxon forces.
When Nimue and Merlin meet in the fifth episode, she asks the wizard why her mother told her to bring him the sword. In the end, viewers learn that not only did he and her mother have a relationship, but Nimue is actually Merlin’s daughter.
Morgana was originally a kind person and turned evil after being corrupted by Morgause and betrayed by her former friend Merlin.
Since Merlin was responsible for the death of “good Morgana”, it was only natural that she would return the favor. In The Tears of Uther Pendragon, Morgana is rescued by Arthur and the Knights of Camelot after being missing for a year.
Is Merlin, who has and uses magic all his life, who learned from Giaus and Kilgharrah, and the only Dragonlord more powerful than Morgana, who slowly learned her magic at first but then had a crash course from Moruause, who had been trained all her life with those who practiced the ancient religion… and…
But Gwen is pregnant and is giving birth to a son, whom she is naming after his father. And it turns out that this was actually Arthur the dragon was referring to when he told Merlin that he and the king were two halves of one and that they would unite Albion.
To underline this point, Arthur never calls Morgana his sister, knowing the conditions under which he was conceived. However, it is unknown if Morgana knows the truth about Arthur’s birth and therefore calls him “brother”.
Morgana catches up with Merlin and Arthur and drives off their horses, but she is killed by Merlin with Excalibur.
