Chinese cabbage, (Brassica rapa, pekinensis variety), also known as celery cabbage, a form of Chinese cabbage that belongs to the mustard family (Brassicaceae) and is cultivated for its edible leaves.
Chinese cabbage is available all year but it peaks in winter when cold weather elicits its sweetness.
