Permanent valve stem replacement – install from outside of wheel, install from outside of wheel! By Colby Valve – Walmart.com.
Replacing your valve stem is an easy task, even if you’re not a mechanic. Repairing new valve stems will cost around $10 if you do it yourself. If you take it to the shop it will cost around $30.
In most cases, the quickest way to replace a valve stem is to take it to a tire shop and have the tire removed and the valve stem replaced using a tire machine. p>
Wheels have two valve stems for two reasons. First, so you can pump air in with one valve stem and check tire pressure with a connected pressure gauge on the other. And the second reason is to make it easier to refill nitrogen air. One valve stem is used to pump in nitrogen while the other stem exhausts regular air.
Replace a valve stem without removing the tire from the wheel with the AME 51025 QVC tool. Great for trailers and ATVs, this tool is ideal for any leaking valve stem.

How much does Walmart charge for tire fitting? If you buy your tires from Walmart or Walmart.com, you can have your tires fitted at a Walmart Auto Care Center for $15 per tire. That means expect to pay $60 total for the basic install on four tires.
Expert Answer: Tires sold individually, not premounted on a rim/wheel, do not include valve stems, but we do offer these as separate items. Tires that are pre-fitted and sold with the rim/wheel naturally include the valves.
