This is primarily because McDonald’s doesn’t offer free refills for french fries. According to Mashed, there is only one location — in St. Joseph, Mo. — where free refills are an official policy.
The refill must be requested after waiting in the regular line at the restaurant counter. You must show your receipt to request the refill. Once a customer has left the restaurant, the refill is no longer valid.
