Outlast tells the story of a reporter who is tipped off by an anonymous whistleblower that something is amiss in a mountain cabin. The reporter goes there to investigate, but when he arrives he finds that all hell has already broken loose.
“It’s about making the player suffer,” he said. One of the ways Outlast achieved this upon its release (2013 for PC, 2014 for PlayStation and Xbox, and 2018 for Nintendo Switch) was by basing the backstory of its setting on a real-life event.
If you focus on the main goals, Outlast takes about 5 hours. If you are a gamer who aspires to see all aspects of the game, you will probably spend around 10 hours to 100% complete it.
The game is designed to prioritize inflicting horror on the players on a deep psychological level. This is how Outlast causes fear.
The relationship between Outlast 1, whistleblower, Murkoff account and Outlast 2? Well, OUTLAST and WhistleBlower are happening at the same time. Murkoff Account tells the story that happened between OUTLAST 1 and II. OUTLAST II is either the end of the OUTLAST story or the beginning of something new.
Outlast. Outlast, the best and scariest game ever released. This game depicts the dark tradition in a remote mental hospital, revolving around a freelance investigative journalist named Miles Upshur who investigates the location but ends up stuck in the hospital trying to find a way out.
In fact, many recognizable titles like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Outlast have locations based on a real area or building.
Tl;Dr, Outlast 1 is horribly upsetting, shocking, shit your pants, run from screaming enemies while being chased everywhere, no backstory, just run from screaming dudes with bloody guns, Outlast 2 is spooky, spooky and sad lots of backstories to the main character’s disturbing childhood and darkness…
I think the game presented an interesting challenge, but needless to say; think about it like this. The whole purpose of the game was to scare you, provide a good story and spooky atmosphere, and challenge your survivability. The game was not designed to be an incredibly difficult game.
Yes, play Outlast first and be sure to get the Whistleblower DLC.
Not for kids at all.
This game features some of the most disgusting scenes in gaming history.
I’ve completed Amnesia Dark Descent and reached the female station in Outlast. I really think Outlast is a lot scarier and the gameplay is more fun. The enemies you encounter in Amnesia are usually limited to a few rooms, and you can almost always predict when you’ll encounter a monster.
Outlast is a First Person Survival Horror video game that is developed and published by Red Barrels. YES. Get the first one before you play the second or there’s a chance you’ll go berserk.
It is the third installment in the Outlast series, serving as a prequel to the first two games and featuring test subjects in a mysterious Cold War experiment. The game is scheduled for release in 2022.
Resident Evil 7 isn’t Resident Evil, it’s Outlast 2 with a different name – SegmentNext.
This game has a lot of violence and disturbing moments. If you are attacked, you will either be slapped in the face or have your head ripped off. Blood covers the screen and the screen is blurred by blood.
If you’re like me, you undoubtedly want to find a way to attack and fight back against your attackers. Unfortunately there is simply no way to do this in the game. The core of Outlast 2, like its predecessor, is that you are a defenseless cameraman.
