Not that it’s really relevant – part of their Terms of Service for the game indicates that Blizzard saves all chat history, although they don’t specify a time.
To access your chats on the Battle.net desktop or mobile app, click Chats and Groups. You can have conversations with individual friends or groups of friends when you create a Blizzard Group.
Open the friend chat you want to delete. At the top of the chat, click the small down arrow to the right of your battletag. Click Clear Chat History

To block a player who sent an unwanted friend request, click on their battletag and select Block Communication. As long as it is ignored, the player cannot whisper anything to you and you will not receive friend requests or group invites.
Blizzard states that requests to delete your Blizzard account may take up to 30 days. Although it’s a bit annoying to have to wait up to 30 days, once the process is complete, the deletion is final.
To see your saved messages, select your profile picture in the top right corner and then select “Saved”. In Teams, it’s easy to find and continue a previous conversation using a keyword or name search.
If you are the global admin, you can go to Office 365 Security& Compliance Admin Center > Search > Content Search > Guided Search, then apply more specific conditions to the query of search results. The chat results would show Type: IM and Call would show as Type:call.
As already mentioned, Steam can store chat history for about 2 weeks. If you want to clear Steam chat history, you can update chat history with new messages.
