Don’t try: cucumbers
According to some sources, cucumber skins are said to repel roaches because they find the smell repulsive. However, this myth has been debunked and is not recommended by standard pest control. So don’t bother.
All you have to do to get rid of the roaches is put cucumber slices on the spots where you noticed the roaches. The smell of cucumbers keeps them away because cucumbers stop the growth of harmful microbes that act as a barrier to roaches. Replace the cucumber slices as needed, typically once a week.
