After some research, Darth Plagueis found Anakin on Coruscant. Plagueis remained in the shadows, reaching out and seeing a vision of Anakin’s future. He saw dark armor and a dark helmet rising from an operating table. He knew then that this boy would change the course of the galaxy forever.
They just used their knowledge of the rule of two to guess that someone else must be alive. In Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, Yoda addresses Palpatine as Darth Sidious. I thought Yoda spotted Palpatine’s Sith name from the security hologram (he was watching the Jedi Temple).
Yoda Meets the Ghost of Darth Bane (Season 6 Episode 13) Yoda had many of his own side journeys in The Clone Wars and the episode where he meets the ghost of Darth Bane is one of which “The Lost Missions.”
Plagueis, however, was fully aware of Maul’s existence and supported Sidious’ decision to train him. The main reason for Plagueis’ support, despite violating the rule of two, was that Maul was trained to be expendable.
Was Darth Plagueis alive during Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace? Yes – he was alive most of the time. Plagueis and Palpatine had maneuvered the events of The Phantom Menace to effect Palpatine’s ascension to the post of Supreme Chancellor.
Well, firstly, female Sith Lords are sometimes referred to as “Sith Ladies“. The best-known example of this is Lumiya, who is explicitly referred to as the Dark Lady of the Sith.
Since Obi-Wan reluctantly accepts that Luke knows his father’s identity, it’s unlikely that he or Yoda would reveal the rest to Luke. Also, Obi-Wan doubted Anakin was the chosen one any longer after his downfall and conversion to the dark side in RotS.
At some point, Yoda adopted a human named Kantam Sy as his Padawan. The two were stationed in the Jedi Temple on the planet Endovar.
Since the only Sith they could have encountered were Darth Maul and Darth Tyrannus, it should be obvious that Yoda never met or fought a Sith prior to AotC. unless Yoda fought a Banite Sith 2 (or 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) a hundred years ago… even if at the time he just thought it was a Dark Jedi.
Darth Bane, real name Dessel, was the Dark Lord of the Sith who created the Rule of Two. Born in 1026 VBY, Dessel worked in poverty as a miner on the planet Apartos and was nicknamed Bane by his father.
Question: Did Maul know that Sidious was Palpatine? In legends he did. I’m pretty sure there is a part in the Darth Plagueis novel where Maul reflects on his master’s political dealings and how he is publicly known as Palpatine.
The Sith Master trained Darth Tenebrous in the ways of the Sith. In the final centuries of the Galactic Republic, a Twi’lek sensitive to the Force joined the order of the Sith Lords, eventually rising to the rank of Dark Lord of the Sith.
In fact, in the same scene, Sidious says he keeps Maul alive because he “has other uses for you!” If Palpatine thought Maul knew about his dual identity, then he can no way would have let him live.
Was Palpatine Anakin’s father? – [Compulsion to Think] #8 | fanbase. In Legends it is fairly accurately confirmed that Anakin was born of the Force in response to Plagueis and Palpatine becoming stronger on the dark side, however the reason for his conception in canon is much less clear.
Since Count Dooku has worked closely with Darth Sidious to undermine the Republic both internally and externally, he may have known about Order 66. He could have used the Clone Troopers to destroy the Jedi themselves.
Yoda and other Jedi Masters never suspected Palpatine of wrongdoing until they became suspicious after the clone troopers attacked.
No. He was first mentioned in Episode III. The novel detailing his involvement in the events of Episode I was written after the films were released (i.e. the backstory of his involvement had not yet been created). Also, the novel is Legends (not canon) anyway.
