Put the object on your finger or wrist. Put on the silicone ring or bracelet. Once the item has reached room temperature, it will adjust to your finger or wrist. If it gets too tight, put it back in the ice water.

Submerge for five minutes. All that heat in the boiling water will cause the silicone to contract and rebound. This effectively shrinks a half size to two sizes depending on how big the ribbon was to start and how long you cook it.
Boil a pot of water large enough for your item. Place the item in the boiling water and swirl it around with the tongs. Don’t let it touch the bottom or sides of the pot. Cook for 30 seconds to a minute depending on the size of the item.
Put the bracelet in the boiling water for 10 to 15 seconds. Hold the bracelet in the water with tongs and count to 10 or 15. If the bracelet is way too big on your wrist, there’s no harm in leaving it in for 20 seconds. The longer you leave the bracelet in the water, the more it shrinks.
Cook it. Put the bracelet in boiling water for 10-15 seconds, then quickly dry it before putting it on your wrist. If this doesn’t work right away, repeat the process until it’s shrunk to the right size.
Nature has a habit of breaking its own rules… Polymers such as rubber shrink when heated when their molecular chains curl up, and water shrinks when it drops from its freezing point to around 4° C. p>
