The Luminous Source (Japanese: ひかりのいずみ Source of Light) is a cave in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Heaven where the player can evolve Pokémon .
Unlike the traditional Pokemon games where an evolution is triggered upon leveling up, in Mystery Dungeon evolution is triggered by visiting the Glowing Cave once a Pokemon has a certain level. Visiting the Luminous Cave will reveal which Pokémon are ready to be evolved.
Evolution only occurs when the Pokémon enters the glowing cave. Pokemon will not evolve outside of the cave. Because the cave is too small, only one Pokémon can enter. The Pokémon that the player wants to evolve must be the leader.

I would personally recommend either Squirtle or Turtwig as the main character and an Eevee as a partner. I’ve been playing through the skies with Turtwig as my main and Eevee as my partner for the past few days, and you have no idea how useful the helping hand/fast attack combo is.
